Rolleiflex3.5F/Rolleiflex 3.5F type4

Introducing my favorite camera. The first is Rolleiflex.

In 1928, Rollei released a twin-lens reflex camera. There is also a current model, and it is a camera with a history that has many secret users.
The most obvious feature of a twin-lens reflex camera is that it has two lenses, one above the other. The lower lens is the take lens for shooting, and the upper lens is the view lens for preview. The light coming through the viewing lens forms an image of 56mm x 56mm, the same size as the film, on the matte surface of the upper part of the camera. In other words, it can be said that it is a luxurious specification with another large lens for the viewfinder.

The format of the photo is square, which makes it difficult to photograph architecture.
The internal structure is extremely detailed. All its functions are composed of mecha. It is a truly extravagant and well-crafted structure that is impossible in today's advanced electronic technology.
However, this camera is large and heavy. It is a pain to carry around. After all, if you pursue convenience, economy, and practicality, the realistic option will converge on the digital camera. In fact, there are overwhelmingly more opportunities to use digital cameras. What is the reason for continuing to use this camera?
In conclusion, it's a pleasure. When shooting, take a bowing posture and look into the focus hood. The beautiful image that spreads there is more like looking at a picture than a viewfinder. For me, who had been using single-lens reflex cameras until then, this was a shocking experience. It's fun, and I can't help but point the camera in various directions.
The beauty of the medium-format positives produced by the Zeiss lens is also incomparable to that of a 35mm camera. The response of releasing the shutter and the small sound of "koto". The feeling of a crank winding a film. Dial click feeling. Anyway, it feels good. It cannot be experienced with a single-lens reflex camera with a large mirror shock or a digital camera with a fake shutter sound. The operation, mechanism, and function all feel realistic.
If you usually manipulate CAD and CG and are immersed in the virtual world, it may be a reaction to that, but this realism makes you feel even more pleasant. In any case, it is a camera that allows you to enjoy the act of shooting itself, not to mention the finishing of the photograph.
