An apartment house with a gallery in Shimokitazawa, a town where old and new are mixed.
On the 2nd and 3rd floors, 3 owners, 1st floor for rent, and 1 basement floor as a gallery. Owner households have different spaces such as colors and materials in consideration of age and taste.
The three-dimensional courtyard on the northern side integrates the different spaces. This courtyard connects the space from the ground to the gallery underground. In addition, the north side wall becomes a reflex plate, and guides soft diffused natural light inside. The line of sight and line of sight centered on this courtyard, but were designed so that they would not cross.
Brick is used for the exterior and courtyard material, and the intention is to blend the three-dimensional courtyard space into the town of Shimokitazawa.
