|CONCEPT

A prototype that could become a new standard for studio apartments.
We have created a bright and highly livable space by inserting a water supply between the dwelling units and taking in natural light from both the outside corridor and the balcony. Light from the exterior corridor is taken in through randomly assembled glass blocks, ensuring privacy in the room.
Due to a rational plan without corridors, about 11 tatami mats are secured even in a 25m2 residence, which is the minimum required by the one-room ordinance.
The beams on the balcony side have been eliminated to create a sense of openness as if you can look up at the sky from the high sashes that go all the way up to the ceiling.
The core of the water area between the balconies features a solid appearance that is different from ordinary condominiums.
