Office interior that incorporates the spirit of Japanese hospitality.
The client is a company that performs branding and communication design on the theme of hospitality. The spirit of "hospitality" has been established in Japan since ancient times as a cornerstone of hospitality. Therefore, in this office, we tried to embody "offering" for "hospitality".
By reconstructing the traditional elements of Japan in a modern way, visitors will be surprised at the unexpected spatial experience and reset their feelings, and will feel relieved and calm in the traditional elements. Then, by facing the once-in-a-lifetime chance, I aimed for a space where communication could be made more positive.
The reception space was made up of bold wooden frames. Using a mirror on the wall, the wooden group spreads continuously into a large space. In addition, traditional materials such as tiles, plant dyed Japanese paper, and tatami mats are used for furniture, walls, and floors.
The walls and fittings of the office space use a combination of traditional Japanese colors. By combining these traditional elements with modern elements such as LEDs and glass in an office that tends to be inorganic, the stimulus is intended to inspire the creativity of workers
The solid wood of cedar, which is actively used for woodwork and furniture, is from the natural forest of Koyasan. It was provided for revitalizing and branding the forestry of Koyasan. Trees are recyclable resources from planting to logging, and they contribute to the creation of a recyclable forest environment by activating forestry.
