|CONCEPT

A two-family house built on a narrow lot facing Gyoranzaka. The back of the site is the precincts of Gyoranji Temple.
As for the floor composition, the 1st floor is used as a store and the parent household, and the 2nd and 3rd floors are a child household of a family of four.
Each room has a different ceiling height and is three-dimensionally connected with a staircase.
As a result, the lack of line of sight and different scales are born, and the expansion and change are included in the limited space.
The main living room is intentionally opened to the Gyoranji side to obtain a unique view.
